The name (PCOS) Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome can be misleading

The name (PCOS) Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a misnomer. You DO NOT have ovarian cysts when you're told you have PCOS. It should be renamed as “hyperandrogenic chronic anovulation,” or “metabolic reproductive syndrome,” or “polycystic ovary-anovulatory"

The definition of a cyst is a fluid-filled sac.
